April 2005 witnessed the end of demolition and the beginning of the foundation work.  First,
the plot is measured for the exact dimensions, as there can be deviations in the drawing to
the actual house.  In my case, the plans were off in the few places, but we quickly
compensated for it.

Simultaneously, the various sewer pipes
were installed for the 3 bathrooms,
laundry room and kitchen.  Drain pipes
require special depth requirements to
keep the (ahem) object flowing
downstream to the main street pipe.

Concrete Work (or rather pouring) Begins!
May 25th, 2005
There was a 3 week delay as it kept raining, which eroded the footing forms dug into the
earth.  It took 1 week to semi dry-out, then it would rain again.  Rob and I eventually had
to bail out several hundred gallons of muck to encourage timely drying.
Pumping day finally came!  In less than 8 hours, we had finished floors and footings
poured.  First the footings were poured (which I wasn't there to capture.  Next came
the house floors.  The garage is poured 1 week later (due to Memorial Day break, and
letting the floors cure.  Check out the movies too!

We have chalk outlined each of the rooms, bathrooms, hallways, stairs onto the floors at this point.
At this point, we are ready for the house to arrive.  Which should occur about June 13 - 17th.
Nothing more to report until then...
